WHAT TO EXPECT
We appreciate you spending time on our website and would love to meet you in person. We hope you’ll plan to worship with us this Sunday.
Before the Service
For Your Children | We offer a nursery for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. The staff and volunteers create a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn the Bible and participate in age-appropriate worship and activities.
Gathering Together | The Body of Christ is made up of people with all kinds of backgrounds, circumstances, gifts, and abilities. We welcome all ages and walks of life and want to make sure visitors feel welcome. A greeter will give you a program, which includes the order of worship and songs we’ll be using. Please sit wherever you are most comfortable.
During the Service
Worship | Each Sunday, we seek to honor and worship God through singing, praying, and hearing Him in His Word. Our worship service is led by one of our elders, and our form of worship is traditional with a mix of hymns and contemporary worship music. The proclamation of God’s Word, the Bible, is consecutive and expositional. This simply means (1) we work our way through a Bible book from its beginning to its ending, verse-by-verse, not skipping any part of it, and (2) we bring out the meaning of each passage in order to understand God’s thoughts and ways, and apply it to our lives.
Communion | Every third Sunday of the month, we celebrate Communion (The Lord’s Supper) together. Anyone who has been baptized in a Bible-believing church and is a follower of Jesus Christ can participate in this sacrament. The bread and new wine (grape juice) we share represent His sacrificial death until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:26). (COVID-19 Policy: During Communion we use prefilled and sealed cups with wafers in order to ensure the safety of everyone participating.)
After the Service
Stay for a While | If you are a newcomer, we welcome you and hope you feel entirely at home. Many of our members and regular attenders visit in the sanctuary and outside following our worship services. We would love for you to hang around for a while, too, so we can meet you.
Find Your Next Step | Join us for our Sunday morning Bible studies (Sunday School) or one of our weekly events. We have a variety of ministries where you can serve, connect, and grow. We offer programs for children, teens/youth, and college, as well as adults, plus music, outreach and missions. There is a place for you!
